~~ Be Mine ~~

Good morning Y'all....from the frozen state of Alabama!! Brrrrrrrr I went to the lake for New years and went to my favorite Flea Market and found tons of goodies to use on my cards ! I found a book from 1935, filled with sheets of music and I used a piece in this card.I love the old yellowed look it has so all I had to do was ink it a tad.I found some vintage valentines too and as much as I hated to do it, I cut them up.The lil girl on the pony is from one, given to Park Lutz from Mabel on Feb 14Th, 1918!!! They were in the 6Th grade.I did a jig when I looked on the back and found the names and date! I found the lil tatted doilie there as well. I used a chipboard circle I got from Big Lots, just added some glitter and welded Be Mine, from Don Juan and I made the heart button from that cart as well.I used UTEE to give it that high gloss effect.Added the lil heart brad and ribbon and there you have it, a recycled vintage valentine !! Thanks so much for stoppin by !!! Stay warm...wherever you are !

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
