~~~ Your Nest or Mine, Valentine~~~
Happy Monday,Y'all! I have been wanting to cut this lil couple out for soooo long, but I kept getting sidetracked. They are from the Sweetheart cart. I used more of the pretty K&Co paper and of course I cut out my favorite scalloped heart. Did some doodlin and once again, outlined lots of areas with the glittery gel pen....it gives the card just enough sparkle to catch the eye. Added pearls in the corners of the punched flowers and used my computer to generate the circle sentiment. Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek !!! xoxo Joy
~~~ LOVE ~~~

Hi Y'all!! I spent the better part of the day working on this card ! lol I wish I could make up my mind about paper,lace, etc and stick with it...but NOOOO I have to change everything a dozen times and I'm still not happy! Do y'all do that to ? It just drives me nuts ! Anyway, I used the Sweethearts cart for this card. I just LOVE that scalloped heart, but I think I had consumed WAY too much coffee, thinking it would be a good idea to add all those tiny pearls to that vellum !! Oh I did use Wildcard for the vellum flower. Lots of inking and popping, added the lace and used that sweet postcard from a KnCo pack.Used several embossing folders and outlined the hearts with a glittery gel pen.Thanks for taking a peek !!!

~~~ I'm a Lucky Dog, Valentine ~~~
Hi Y'all !!! I made this card for a challenge over on the Cricut Message Board. Holly has been posting some sketches and I decided to play along. I used the Paisley cart for the dog and Sweethearts for the layered hearts. I used a glittery red gel pen to outline the dogs arms, ears etc and used the same pen to make the dots on the scalloped heart.The heart was cut at 2.5 inches and the circles really didn't cut out, so I gave the dots a little shimmer with the pen.
Thanks for taking a peek !!!! xoxo Joy
~~~ With Heartfelt Sympathy~~~

Good morning crafters ! I know we never like to make sympathy cards, but we just have to.This is for a man in Dan's hunting club. Keith and his wife lost there 26 year old daughter in a car wreck last week. Actually, I knew Keith way back in the day when he was a detective with the Prattville police dept. and he would come into Kmart to make purchases for the dept. I often had to take care of all the paperwork that went along with the purchases and Keith and I became acquainted during this time. I am so in love with the vellum flowers that Scootingranny, over on the Cricut Message Board introduced us to the other day, via Selma's Stamping Corner: Vellum Flowers. I used Wild Card for the flowers, cut at 1.25, 1 and .75 inches. I went out in the rain yesterday to purchase the Martha Stewart trellis punch ( I just had to scraplift Selma's beautiful card!) and I used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment, which was computer generated. Thanks for stopping by !!! xoxo Joy

I used Create a Critter for the darling lil frog, lily pad and dragonfly.Thinking if You is from good ole George. Someone on the Cricut Message Board had posted some beautiful vellum flowers and of course, I had to make some ! She got the inspiration from Selma's Stamping Corner: Vellum Flowers. Added a lil bling and used a glittery gel pen on the sentiment.

~~~ My Attempt at Shabby Chic ~~~
Hi Y'all ! I absolutely LOVE Shabby Chic and vintage style cards, but try as I might, I can not get that look down pat! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr These are merely humble attempts. I used the scalloped heart from the Sweethearts cart for both cards. I intertwined ribbon through one and layered it and also added pink tulle.Added a Jenni Bowlin calendar, and a Tim Holtz ticket. The paper for the 2ND card is by KnCo and it is soooo pretty! The vintage image is a postcard from that paper pack. Did lots of inking and distressing to the postcard. I have more glitter on ME, than on the hearts. Added the lil gem flourish , a vintage button and guess what, more Memory Thread ! Added some lace and used an EK Success punch and called it a day! Thanks for taking a peek !!!
~~~ Several Thank You Cards ~~~

Good morning Y'all !! I made these cards for some AMAZING women that I have gotten to know on the Cricut Message Board. They all sent me some goodies and I am so grateful to them not only for the goodies,but more importantly, their friendship !!! I used Create a Critter for the lil bird card, Pooh and Friends for the floral card and French Manor for the Merci card. Thanks for taking a peek and thanks to each of these wonderful women!!! Tatiana, Diane and Sandi...you girls ROCK !!!

~~~ My Lil Love Bug ~~~
Yep...that's a lil pet name that I call Dan sometimes,so I had to make him this card! I used more of the Be Loved paper, from My Minds Eye. The lil bug is from Create a Critter as are the heart flowers. They were the tulips, but I snipped them off and added the hearts.The letters are from Plantin Schoolbook,the cream colored scalloped hearts are nestabilities and the green hearts are from Love Struck.Once again,I used the Memory thread for the antenna's, after I snipped them off too. I'm tellin ya, I'm lovin this Memory Thread! Did a lil inking and lots of popping and I made my own Wobble, so the lil bug is in motion!! Thanks for taking a peek !!
~~~ Never Ending Love ~~~

Hi Y'all!! I made this card using more scraps, from My Minds Eye.The sentiment on this card was part of the paper pack and since swans mate for life, I thought they would be perfect with the sentiment.I cut the swans from Joys of the Season and the large heart was cut using Love Struck...it was a shadow feature. I thought the Nestabilities scalloped heart fit pretty good with it.Used a punch for the border and covered a grunge circle with paper to make the button and I added the Memory Thread ( I'm LOVIN this thread!!) I have had so many of you ask about the Memory Thread. I bought it at Michael's. It's a new product and it's located back with the embroidery thread. 2.99 for 3 yards and they have a nice variety of colors.Thanks for taking a peek!!!! xoxox Joy

~~~Cockadoodledo, Happy Birthday to You~~~
Happy Saturday! I made this card for my friend, Darlene . She collects Americana and chickens and she loves the dark rustic colors that go along with most of it, so this paper was perfect. I used the Just Because cart for the rooster, Country Life for the sun and the stars were punched. You can't tell it, but I ran the sun and the background paper through my crimper and it really looks like old, work metal.On the inside ( I forgot to take a picture) I cut out Cockadoodledo, from Animal Kingdom and then printed..Happy Birthday to you. Thanks for taking a peek !!!
It was really a tulip and I snipped it off and added a heart. Did some doodlin and used a new punch and there ya go.The 2nd card was pretty easy, made using A Child's Year. Added some black pearls, ribbon and printed "love" on the computer.Thanks for stopping by! I hope y'all have a great weekend !! xoxo OH I just had to show you the new stamp my son and his girlfriend got me for Christmas. I LOVE it ! I can actually stamp this one just ONCE and it looks good !!! It's a PSA stamp...thats the only reason I can! lol
~~~ WAR DAMN EAGLE !!! ~~~

Good morning Y'all !! Some of you may know that I am a die hard Auburn fan and I can't tell you how excited I am that my Tiger's won the National Championship Game against the Oregon Ducks, on Monday night !!! What a game that was!!! I had worked myself into a frenzy and by halftime,I had fever and chills ! lol I had been wanting to design a card for several months now, in honor of the great season Auburn was having, but I am afraid I would put a jinx on things. I felt well enough to throw this lil card together this morning.I used Plantin Schoolbook for the letters and Animal Kingdom for the Tiger. All the backgrounds were computer generated. Y'all might see more cards like this, cause I have several friends, I want to send cards to. The Tiger is our mascot, but we yell... War Eagle, as our battle cry and for those interested, here is the legend behind the battle cry.

The mythical War Eagle I has the most colorful story of all of the "War Eagles". War Eagle I's story begins in the Civil War. According to the legend, a soldier from Alabama was the sole Confederate survivor of a bloody battle. Stumbling across the battlefield, he came across a wounded young eagle. The bird was named Anvre, and was cared for and nursed back to health by the soldier. Several years later the soldier, a former Auburn student, returned to college as a faculty member, bringing the bird with him. For years both were a familiar sight on campus and at events. On the day of Auburn's first football game in 1892 against the University of Georgia, the aged eagle broke away from his master during the game and began to circle the field, exciting the fans. But at the end of the game, with Auburn victorious, the eagle fell to the ground and died.
This legend was originally published in 1960 in the Auburn Plainsman and was conceived by then-editor Jim Phillips. Though apocryphal, this tale is most often told as the beginning of the association of "War Eagle" with Auburn.

Thanks for taking a peek.....Waaaaaaaaar Damn Eagle !!!

The scallops are nestabilities and the punch is by EK Success.The 2nd card is from my sister and brother in law, congratulating them on the new grandson. Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
