~~ Classic Father's Day ~~

Hi Y'all !!! I hope you all are having a great week.....the weekend is almost here!!! I'm going to try a trip to the lake this weekend...YIPPPPEEE !!! I have so missed going. Anyway, here is a lil card I made for my Step Dad. All the children call him Granddaddy and now we all refer to him with that name, that's why I put Granddaddy on the sentiment. I used Heritage for all the cuts and had to make it a 5 x 7 in order to get all the layering like I wanted it.Plus I wanted the classic vehicles to be large enough to see well, with old eyes.Thats about it for this card......just a simple card!! Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by !!!

~~ No Bones About It ~~

Good morning Y'all.....Happy Monday !!! As some of you know, I have been having a horrible time with my back, more so my sciatic nerve. From hip to heel....boy oh boy, I don't wish this pain on anybody!!! I wanted to make my chiropractor and his staff a card because they are all so sweet and since he deals with bones, what better cut than the skeleton on the Paper Doll Dress Up cart! He has abstract artwork all over his office, of spines, so I think they will be tickled by this card, I hope so anyway. I used my Cuttlebug for the small flowers ,butterfly and Hello, as well as the dotted swiss background. I used the treading water punch, lots of stickles and inking, buttons and hemp and did a lil zig zag stitching. The sentiment is computer generated, using the font ...Bones!! Thank you all for remembering me in prayer, and please keep up the good work. I am much better, but I still have a long way to go!!! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek too!!!!

~~ With Sympathy ~~

Hi Y'all.....I know we all hate making sympathy cards, but I read in the paper that my old next door neighbors, Tim and Adae, had lost a loved one. Tim lost his father and altho I haven't seen them in years, I wanted to make them a card. I used the cross from the Easter cart, the flowers are from the 50 States cart and the sentiment is from Wild card. I used nestabilities for the scalloped oval mat. The paper, Simple Elegance, is from The Paper Studio and its on sale 50% off this week at Hobby Lobby.....I can't pass up a sale !! I did a little inking, layering and popping, added the ribbon and called this one done. Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek!!!

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
