Hi Y'all !!! A few of us , Diane, Tatiana and Sandi, got together and decided to start the Santa's Slackers back this year, over on the Cricut MB. Here are a few of the cards I have made so far. We have a new challenge each monday...all just for fun and to get a few Christmas cards made in time....come and join us !!

~~~ Happy Thanksgiving ~~~

Good morning Y'all!!! Just a quick post before I head out the door. I'm going to Selma to spend Thanksgiving with my parents, older sister Janice and her husband Temple, John Allen and Casey and of course Dan. Just wanted to wish you all a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!!!  I am so grateful for all my  family, as well as you, my online family!!
I made this card for Mother, using Paper Doll Dress Up and some punches. I used alcohol inks to color the pumpkin and leaves, hand cut the larger leaves from burlap, made the flower and the stick pin. Thanks so much for taking a peek....  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours !!!

HI Y'all....I have been MIA for a long time and i hope that my MoJo has returned and I can get back to card making. I sure have missed it!! Diane, Sandi, Tatiana and I have started back with the Santa's Slackers Card Challenge on the Cricut MB and I am so glad they twisted my arm! Good Morning Y'all! I want to say a big THANK YOU to Kimberly, for giving me the privilege to be a part of her awesome Design Team!!! The last 6 months have been really fun and creative and it's sad that this will be my finale card , as part of that team. When Kimberly asked me to be on her DT, I was very reluctant, because y'all know I struggle with stamping!!! But thanks to Kimberly, I think that I have conquered my fear! lol Thanks again, Kimberly..you were a sweetheart to work with!! I wish I could have taken Kimberly up on the offer for another 6 months, but this time of year is just TOO hectic for me!! She is having a DT call, so some of you might want to go over and submit a project if you want to be on one of THE BEST design teams in blog land !!
 The theme over at http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com is to make a Cute Halloween card. I have become hooked on making shutter cards and today's card is made using that format. I have been making them because I get to layer all types of great papers and today's paper is from

~~~Sneak Peek Stamp Set Party...day 4~~~

Good morning Y'all !!! I hope y'all are enjoying all the great projects that Kimberly and the DT have put together, using all the great new stamps sets, Crinkle Ribbon and Baker's Twine !! My Projects were made using the fun Happy Hauntings stamp set and I had SO much fun !! For the Broom Parking card, I kinda borrowed the All others Toad from some paper I had seen at Joanns! I knew it would be perfect with the stamp I had in mind to use! I used lots of tulle on the cards and banner and that was fun to play with too! I just had to add that funny lil skeleton to the haunted house card, he just makes me chuckle and I will be using him alot more !! Boo Banner:
The cute Oct 31st stamp is from the Happy Hauntings stamp set that can been found here
Banner Base...I used the Happy Hauntings cart for the base of the banner
BOO....was cut using the Happy Hauntings cart as well. I used the regular as well as the shadow feature and stamped and embossed each letter with a spider web stamp from the dollar bin at Michaels.
Rosette... I made the rosettes using my Martha Stewart score board. You can find many tutorials for these on Youtube.
Baker's Twine....I just love the black and orange color of this twine and you can find that at My Craft Spot ( see the link above )

~~~ Another Sailor Chick ~~~

Hi Y'all !! I made a card similar to this a few weeks ago and since I was at the lake, decided to make a lil boy sailor card. I used oh so many carts to pull this card together with and they are as follows:

~~~ Hoppy Birthday ~~~

Good morning Y'all !!! Dan and I got back from then lake yesterday and while I was gone, I found some Mojo! I used the Sweethearts cart for the large frog and Paper Doll Dress Up for the smaller, hoppin frogs.I welded Hoppy together and Birthday came from the Create a Critter cart and I think the cake did as well. I used Stretch Your Imagination for the scalloped frame and thats just what I did... I stretched the frame to just the size I wanted, using my Gypsy. Thanks for taking a peek!!!!

~~~ Easter Chick ~~~

Good morning!! I noticed that BBTB2 was having a challenge, using the Chick from the Easter 2010 cart ( any cart actually) and I decided to play along. The chick, eggs, rick rack and grass are from the Easter cart and the sailor hat and collar are from Paper Doll Dress Up. I did a lil inking and popping, added some vellum flowers that I punched out, some bling and the corners were punched as well. I embossed the background paper and called this lil Chickie done !Thanks for stopping by to take a peek !!! xoxo

~~ Another Birthday ? ~~

I got a call this morning at 9am from Betty,one of my sweet lil swimmin wimmin,telling me that we were going to celebrate Jimmie Gayle's birthday at 12, TODAY! I thought her birthday was on the 4th, so I had to scramble to sling her a card together. She is an avid Auburn fan and she has a yard full of cats, so I combined the colors of Auburn and used the cat from Paper Doll Dress Up. The crown was used, because its her special day and to symbolize our hope, that Auburn will win 2 more games and be crowned the National Champions in college football!!! Embossed the background Core'dinations paper and sanded it, added some bling and used Wild Card for the sentiment. I wasn't real pleased with this card, but she squealed when she opened it and passed it around for all the wimmin to see, so if she was happy....I am too! Thanks for taking a peek!!

~~ Gift Bags for my Swimmin Wimmin ~~

Good morning Y'all! I was invited to a luncheon today that Betty, one of the Swimmin wimmin is having so I had to hurry and finish the bags I had started for them. Thank Goodness for Sherri Simmons and her GREAT creative mind !! I lifted her Frankenstein and used him on most of the bags and then made a pumpkin witch for the others. I cut a small brown bag down to 4", added some designer paper to the front, that had been embossed and then added the lil figures. I used George for almost all of the cute lil Frank and Gypsy Wanderings for the Top Note. I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the witch's hat,and a combination of Gypsy Wanderings, the pumpkin and Pct 31 for the face on the pumpkin. I fiddled around with my Gypsy, using the hide feature to create the pumpkin. Added a few punched stars and now I'm off to deliver the goody bags to my precious Swimmin Wimmin!! ~~ Santa's Slackers Challenge # 3 ~~ Trim the Tree ~~

G'Mornin Y'all !! I hope you all had a safe and wonderful weekend! I got my football fix...watched college games all day and into the night...I'm a happy camper! This card is for the Santa's Slackers Challenge. I guess I am on a Prim binge and I found this prim looking doll on the Heritage cart and I used Don Juan for the trees. Her lil pinafore was cut using Paper Doll Dress Up and I used a punch for the stars. The sentiment is computer generated.Added some lace , did a little inking and finished it up with some corners I made using scalloped edged scissors.Thanks so much for taking a peek!!

~~ Primitive Blessings ~~

Good morning Y'all!! I LOVE all things country and prim....my home is filled with antiques and collectibles so the inspiration for this card came from a lil Blossom Bucket figure I have. I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the pumpkin, the Oct 31 cart for the crow and good ole George for the star.Did lots of inking and popping,did a little embossing and used Glimmer mist on the pumpkin and crow, added the wire and called it done!! The sentiment was computer generated, using the font Auburn.....oh and by the way, speaking of Auburn....my Tigers won a hard SEC battle last night..Waaaaaaaaaaaar Eagle !!!

~~ Clyde the Crow ~~

I really am anxiously awaiting Fall...can you tell ??? After lifting the cute crow, from Sherri, I wanted to try to make another one.I was surfing the web and came across an adorable crow at the Cottage Cutz web sight and I fell in love with him, and this is my take on him. I used Doodlecharms for his head..its the egg cut.George for his beak,Paper Doll Dress Up for the pumpkin, his hat, wings, kerchief and the hay stack...which is really that ugly lil monster. I just used the hide feature on my Gypsy and did away with his eyes and mouth. The pitchfork and his overalls are from Everyday Paperdolls. Lots of inking and popping, added a lil Cuttlebug die flower, a brad and some raindrops and there you have him, Farmer Clyde.I really had so much fun making him and I think, after I tweak him a bit, I just might enter him in the Alabama State Fair! ~~ Crow's in the Cornfield ~~

I just LOVE Fall!! So, I had to make another card with a few of my favorite things. Thanks to Sherri from the Cricut Message Board for the inspiration for this adorable crow!! I did a total scraplift on this lil fella. I used the eggs from Doodlecharms for his body, the hearts for his wings and added a lil hat from Everyday Paperdolls.The grass is from A Childs Year, pumpkins from Speaking of Fall and the corn stalk is from Paperdoll Dress Up. I did use my friend Darlene's Qucikutz die for the ears of corn. I really like them much better that the ones on the stalk.Did lots of inking and popping, added the Fall sticker on a Nestabilities mat and there ya have it....a few of the reasons that I LOVE Fall !!!
