My Baby is Having a Birthday!

And that means I am getting older too!! John Allen loves to play Texas Hold 'um and when I saw this paper, I knew I had to make his card with this paper.I used Indie Art for all the symbols in a deck of cards....cut at 1 1/2' 2 times on shadow and then once on regular to get that fancy smancy top layer.I wanted to use real playing cards on this, but they were too big so I found some graphics online and copied them, resized them, inked and matted them.I love this ribbon I used....I think its fine, for a masculine card. The circle sentiment, was computer generated using , my Greeting Card Factory Photo Card Maker program.I added some brads and there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek!!

So cool, Joy! Love all the little details. What a great guy card!

Oh Joy this is WAYYYY cool! Fabulous guy card (that I may have to scraplift in the future. LOL) Love how you did the cards and those cuts from Indy are sooo pretty. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ribbon too! Wherever did you find that? xxD

BTW, I've been published 23 times...on my blog down a bit are all of the listings, in case you'd like to see.

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
