~~ Yet ANOTHER Sympathy Card ~~

Good Morning!! I found out yesterday that my friend Zannie, lost his battle with Lou Gehrig's disease and I wanted to make his sister, a card. God is good and I don't question His will, but I'm bout tired of making sympathy cards!! Anyway, I made those beautiful flowers from the Paisley cart. Used the Easter cart for the cross and George for the circle, on top of the Nestabilities scalloped circle. Added some gold buttons that Maxine, one of my "swimmin wimmin" gave me and added the small gold pearls in the corners. I did the tips of the flowers in gold Color Box Ink and then added a little sparkle with a Martha Stewart gold glitter pen. I also outlined the cross with the same pen, altho I'm sure you can't see it. I embossed the background paper and circle as well. The paper is from the So Sophie collection...I really am enjoying using this paper, I LOVE the texture! Thanks for stopping to take a peek!!!

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
