Good morning Y'all! This birthday slipped up on me so I made a pretty easy card.I didn't even have to grumble and cuss and throw anything in the trash...it came together pretty quickly and thats a 1st for me ! I used Celebrations for the cupcake, cut at 5.5 on my G. Added all the layers and ran the bottom through my cripper.Did a lil embossing and added punched stars. The circle sentiment was computer generated and I cut it out with a 1 3/4" punch and used a nesty behind it.I used Plantin Schoolbook for the numbers and smothered them in Glossy Accents. Added some vintage seam binding and a cute lil charm.Hobby Lobby is having a 1/2 off sale and they had some darling charms! Thanks for taking a peek!!!

Welcome to My World
This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!

I love the colors! This is such a fun card!
wow!!! what a great and creative card!! I love it!
What's a card without a little grumbling and cussing?! This is so cute, even without those staple ingredients thrown into the mix. Love that charm...and how you attached it with memory thread....you are so clever...and, of course, it did not escape me that this is a shaped card....you should be making tutorials, girl! Absolutely darlin'! hugs!
very cute! love the crimping idea! need to remember that for the next cupcake I make!
now that's a good day when it all comes together without a fuss :)
Hi Joy...Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such sweet comments. This cupcake card is SO yummy. Love your choice of paper and the little stars on the embossed frosting makes it look good enough to eat.
Hello Joy!! This is one awesome cupcake!!! Looks so yummy! Now I want a cupcake and that's not something I need to be eating!!! Love the charm. I hit Hobby Lobby today and picked up a few charms myself along with some other things! I just love that memory thread. I really need to try to get to a Michaels and pick me up some. Great way to attach a charm!! Love how you crimped the wrapper and those starts are just perfect as sprinkles!! Love love your card!!! We are all well here. Just trying to stay cool. I really dread this summer. 90's at the beginning of summer makes me fear that we'll have
100's 'before' August! I really don't like to sweat!! LOL :)
I do believe this is one of my favorite cards you've ever made. The colors are great, the shape is great -- everything. Awesome!
adorable!!!
What a cheerful card and I love the shape as cupcakes are my favorite :-)
Joy, what a pretty cupcake card!!!

Just found your site while hopping around. Wow! Your cards are great. One of the teachers next to me is retiring next week and moving back to Alabama. She is very proud to be southern gal too.
How cute is this!!! Joy, you have out done yourself again!!
sorry to hear the HOT, HOT weather you are having,
yesterday I started out with a sweat shirt on, an hour later when I was done in the barn, the jacket came off, it got muggy as the day went on and I was sweating like a pig when I had to feed the critters in the afternoon and by night the humidity started to drop a bit making it a comfortable night, It would have been a great night for sleep, but the wind was just right to send a awful stink into the room and I had to shut the window. ICK!!! anyway after the cold long winter we had I'm not going to complain... maybe if it gets to 100 and I have a hot flash I might change my mind,
Have a great weekend,
Carol<><
Wow Joy... there is a lot of detail in this card that you say you whipped up quickly. It's very cute. Question: What technique are you using for the picture background in some of your newer projects? It looks like you're layering.
How fun and bright, Joy! It looks positively YUMMY!!! xxxD
