Good morning crafters ! I know we never like to make sympathy cards, but we just have to.This is for a man in Dan's hunting club. Keith and his wife lost there 26 year old daughter in a car wreck last week. Actually, I knew Keith way back in the day when he was a detective with the Prattville police dept. and he would come into Kmart to make purchases for the dept. I often had to take care of all the paperwork that went along with the purchases and Keith and I became acquainted during this time. I am so in love with the vellum flowers that Scootingranny, over on the Cricut Message Board introduced us to the other day, via Selma's Stamping Corner: Vellum Flowers. I used Wild Card for the flowers, cut at 1.25, 1 and .75 inches. I went out in the rain yesterday to purchase the Martha Stewart trellis punch ( I just had to scraplift Selma's beautiful card!) and I used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment, which was computer generated. Thanks for stopping by !!! xoxo Joy

Welcome to My World
This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!

What beautiful card for such a sad occasion. I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend's daughter and at such an early age...so sad. I know that your friends will draw comfort from your kindness.

Absolutely beautiful card! They will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
BEAUTIFUL. Is it a compliment to say that it looks "store-bought." So professional it looks like you bought it. Beautiful work. Hope you and hubby are both well.
What a tragedy. Your card is lovely. I'll pray for comfort for your friends.
