Hi Y'all ! I absolutely LOVE Shabby Chic and vintage style cards, but try as I might, I can not get that look down pat! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr These are merely humble attempts. I used the scalloped heart from the Sweethearts cart for both cards. I intertwined ribbon through one and layered it and also added pink tulle.Added a Jenni Bowlin calendar, and a Tim Holtz ticket. The paper for the 2ND card is by KnCo and it is soooo pretty! The vintage image is a postcard from that paper pack. Did lots of inking and distressing to the postcard. I have more glitter on ME, than on the hearts. Added the lil gem flourish , a vintage button and guess what, more Memory Thread ! Added some lace and used an EK Success punch and called it a day! Thanks for taking a peek !!!

Welcome to My World
This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!

Joy, both cards are gorgeous! I think you do great with the card style! All your details are perfect and the paper is lovely! And I must find some of the Memory thread! Love both cards!

They are great cards. I really like the calendar, and the vintage image in the second one -- adorable!
Joy, your cards are gorgeous. I love the paper and the cuts you used especially that scalloped heart. I went to Michael's today, found the Memory Thread but did not buy any. My reasoning, "I have a coupon for 20% off everything for this afternoon from 4-8pm. Guess what, came home, got busy making a card and forgot about it. LOL LOL. Is that not pitiful?
Joy! Your Valentine's cards are so beautiful! I don't even want to make mine. They will be so simple...
You are too hard on yourself. Your attempts seem pretty successful to me. I love your shabby chic look. Your inking, distressing, vintage image and embellishments are just great. we all love to second guess ourselves. You done good girl!
Are you kidding? I think you do a FABULOUS job with shabby chic! Your vintage cards ROCK! xxD
