Good morning Y'all...Happy Hump Day ! This lil card is an imitation of an image that was printed on some paper that I bought. I used Doodlecharms for the envelope and layered hearts. The swirls are a Sizzix die and the small hearts are a Martha Stewart punch. I used Memory Thread for the lil curly Q's. ~~ Black-Eyed Susan's ~~
Hi Y'all...I went to Selma yesterday, my home town and the drive over was lovely!!! It's a 2 lane, old country road , meandering through 2 swampy areas, farm land and pastures for miles and cotton ready to be picked, all along the way. Goldenrod, Black-Eyed Susan's, Morning Glories creeping along the fences, and Purple Statis blooming along every turn! Oh how I LOVE the south, especially this time of the year!!! I even pulled over on an old pig trail of a road, and picked some Black-Eyed Susan's. I'm telling ya, the countryside was ablaze with color !!! Anyway, I have been wanting to make a Side Step card for awhile now and I decided to attempt one today. After throwing away NUMEROUS pieces of scrap paper, I finally got a base that I could live with. I used the Paisley cart again for the flowers, cut at several sizes from 21/2" down to 1", My Community for the fence, cute at 31/5" and Stretch Your Imagination for the flower stems, I just lopped off the flowers and used the stems for the Paisley flowers. The small blue flowers are a punch, and the flourish is a Sizzix die. Even tho I almost pulled my hair out, making this base card, I know I will be making many more ! Thanks for taking a peek...Have a great weekend !!!!

~~ Fall ~~
Hi Y'all....I'm Jitterbuggin this week!! I made this card using the flowers on the Paisley cart. I am telling you.... I LOVE these flowers!! I want to thank ~~ Ina Vorreiters ~~ from the Cricut Message Board for posting these flowers and making me drool! Here is the link for the tutorial...YouTube - Flower Tutorial - Prima Petite Mums I just followed these instructions and walllla....gorgeous fall mums !! I think they could pass for Zinnias too. I know I will be making lots of these flowers. Anyway, easy peasy card....I didn't use all the layers on the bottom flower but I did use all 6 layers for the top flower. Embossed that orangey/red strip of paper, did some inking, added buttons and the rub on ...Fall, on the Sizzix tag. Thanks for stopping by..I am off to make me a garden of flowers !!!

~~ Shower and Jitterbug Challenge Card ~~
Good morning Y'all...I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone, so I incorporated the Jitterbug Challenge into a shower card that I need for later this month. I used that cute lil Sizzix bee, Paisley for the umbrella and Don Juan for the letter B, which had to be used in the challenge( or a Cricut Bee). Used Cosmo Cricket scraps, Spellbinders Round Scallop die and the sentiment was computer generated. Used the Swirls Cuttlebug folder and sprayed a soft mist of Smooch on the bee, heart and letter B. Thanks for stopping by...I'm headin to the lake for the long weekend. I hope y'all have a great Labor Day weekend....Bee Safe !!!

~~ Scaredy Kat ~~
Happy Monday !!!! Yes, I made another Fall /Halloween card....I can't help myself !! I used another vintage print and cut it with Spellbinders Label 4 die.Mounted it on another label that had been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.I was soooo aggravated with the cat on the Oct 31 cart, I decided to use a Sizzix die for this cat...didn't have to cuss him at all!! Used a lil punch I bought last year for the witch and used the Gypsy font for the 31...I thought it looked creepy! Added the doillie and ribbon and there ya go. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

~~ Happy Beelated Birthday ~~ and CCChallenge
Hi Y'all....one of my swimmin wimmin commissioned a card...she said no rush..its already late! But I got busy and made 1 and I really didn't like it, so I made another and .....wouldn't you know it, I'm not real happy with it either!!! grrrrrrr I get sooo anal sometimes. Dan, my greatest critic agreed with me ( I almost fainted...we seldom agree on anything) and said the 1st card is TOO busy, too many flowers... but then my friend Sandi said that bee's never have too many flowers around. Thanks Sandi! lol I'm taking both of them to her tomorrow and she can decide. The 1st card was made using a sizzix die for the large flower and Paisley for the smaller ones. Heritage for the fence and the bee is a sizzix die as well. I got them both for 1.97 so I couldn't pass up that deal at Joann's!! The circle sentiment was computer generated. The 2ND card was made using a flower from Storybook and the bee from Paisley. I also created the Happy Beelated Birthday border around the card on my computer. The font is called Bizzy Bee. Did a lil doodlin on both, lots of layering and popping. Thanks so much for taking a peek ...I'm buzzin outta here for now!!!

Welcome to My World
This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
