Yep...that's a lil pet name that I call Dan sometimes,so I had to make him this card! I used more of the Be Loved paper, from My Minds Eye. The lil bug is from Create a Critter as are the heart flowers. They were the tulips, but I snipped them off and added the hearts.The letters are from Plantin Schoolbook,the cream colored scalloped hearts are nestabilities and the green hearts are from Love Struck.Once again,I used the Memory thread for the antenna's, after I snipped them off too. I'm tellin ya, I'm lovin this Memory Thread! Did a lil inking and lots of popping and I made my own Wobble, so the lil bug is in motion!! Thanks for taking a peek !!
Hi Y'all!! I made this card using more scraps, from My Minds Eye.The sentiment on this card was part of the paper pack and since swans mate for life, I thought they would be perfect with the sentiment.I cut the swans from Joys of the Season and the large heart was cut using Love Struck...it was a shadow feature. I thought the Nestabilities scalloped heart fit pretty good with it.Used a punch for the border and covered a grunge circle with paper to make the button and I added the Memory Thread ( I'm LOVIN this thread!!) I have had so many of you ask about the Memory Thread. I bought it at Michael's. It's a new product and it's located back with the embroidery thread. 2.99 for 3 yards and they have a nice variety of colors.Thanks for taking a peek!!!! xoxox Joy
Good mornin Y'all !! I hope you're having a great start to your weekend!! I needed to make another wedding card and I used Love Struck for the focal point and Wild Card for the sentiment. This card is very similar to the one I made several weeks ago, but on this one I wanted to use a few colors that the bride had selected for her wedding. It's a fall event and she is using this wine color, along with greens and other beautiful fall colors. Added some pearls, ribbon, did some embossing and doodlin and sprayed it with Smooch. This paper is more of the So Sophie collection, by My Minds Eye....I'm lovin every single sheet of paper they made for this collection! Have a great weekend and thanks for taking a peek !!!
Good morning Y'all.....I have had sooo many cards to make lately and this was the last of them....for a minute , anyway! Dan was invited to a wedding this weekend and I made a card for him to take to the reception. ( My name was not included on the invitation...how tacky is that ?!? I started to add big ole googly eyes to the faces !) Anyway, I used the Love Struck cart for the heart shaped image and Home Decor for the word...forever. Love Struck doesn't have a shadow feature so I tinkered with the sizes and I hope the shadow looks ok. I added lots of pearls, did some embossing and sanding and called this one done. This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
