~~ Thank You ~~

Good morning Y'all !! Dan and I came back from the lake early...the fish weren't biting and the weather is going to get BAD here in Alabama today..so they say. We have made some great friendships at the lake and this card is for one of those friends, Ms Millie....she gave Dan and I some fresh eggs!!! I can't wait to make a pound cake with them. I used My Community for the hen and apron, Doodlecharms for the eggs, Paperdolls for Everyday for the basket and Country Life for the sun and hill.Did a lil embossing, inking and doodlin. Thanks for taking a peek !!!

~~Remake of John Allen's B'day Card ~~

No, You aren't seeing things. It's a redo of my Son's B'day card. I just never was real happy with it and since he is my only child, I wanted to make the best card I could. The 1st difference is that this card is 5x7 . That means that those flying ducks from the Wildlife Lite cart are bigger( wooohooo) I added some cattails, from Everyday PaperDolls and I selected a different set of swimming ducks. The pond is from Create a Critter and the trees are from Camp Out. The word Son is from the Heritage cart, which actually said Sons, but I just lopped off the last S. Lots of inking and much more dimension this time....lots and lots of pop dots and foam dots. I did add the yellow corrugated paper around the pond. Thanks for looking.....again!! Have a great weekend...I'm taking my folks to the lake for a few days and then to North Alabama to buy apples from their favorite orchard....8 hours to buy apples!!! Since we are in that direction we will be spending 2 nights with my Sista in Tullahoma Tn. I can't wait to see her and her family!!

See ya next week!!!

~~ Thinking of You ~~

Hi Y'all....I made this card for an old friend, who is in the last stages of Lou Gehrig's Disease. Zannie was Selma's Fonzy!! Always had a motorcycle...was always flirting with the girls, just a larger than life character and everybody loves him!! Thats why I added the motorcycle, cause he had and has a fine collection. I used Everyday Paperdolls for the motorcycle, added the buttons and hemp, did a tad of doodling and inking . I hope the Old Fonzy likes this card!! Thanks for stopping by !!

~~ The Apple Barn ~~

Hi there!! When I saw this paper, by My Little Shoebox, I knew what I would make with it. I used to take my Mother to Ellijay, Georgia to buy apples fresh, from lil red apple barns that are all along the country roads. I used Everyday Paperdolls for the barn, Heritage for the cart and tractor, Stretch Your Imagination for the apple tree and the apples are from a punch I bought at Big Lots for 1 dollar!! Used the Swirls Cuttlebug folder for the tree, Swiss Dots and a Tin Holtz embossing folder for the barn. Did some inking and doodling and then sat down and had an apple with peanut butter on it ! lol I'm sending this one to my Mother and I hope it brings back fond memories!!! Thanks for stopping by Y'all !!!

~~ Crow's in the Cornfield ~~

I just LOVE Fall!! So, I had to make another card with a few of my favorite things. Thanks to Sherri from the Cricut Message Board for the inspiration for this adorable crow!! I did a total scraplift on this lil fella. I used the eggs from Doodlecharms for his body, the hearts for his wings and added a lil hat from Everyday Paperdolls. The grass is from A Childs Year, pumpkins from Speaking of Fall and the corn stalk is from Paperdoll Dress Up. I did use my friend Darlene's Qucikutz die for the ears of corn. I really like them much better that the ones on the stalk.Did lots of inking and popping, added the Fall sticker on a Nestabilities mat and there ya have it....a few of the reasons that I LOVE Fall !!!

~~ Hello ~~

Hi Y'all.....I chatted with my friend Sandi online this morning and she all but forced me make a card for the Jitterbug challenge. So this is my take. I used lots of carts for this one. Everyday Paper Dolls for the kite, Doodlecharms for the bows, cause I didn't like the flimsy ones that were part of the kite cut. I used Stretch Your Imagination for the border,Home Decor( I think) for the cloud and Wild Card for the sentiment...wheeeeh. Lots of layering and popping, did a little inking and doodlin, added the buttons and there you have it.A thunderstorm is brewing as I type and the wind is gusting, so I imagine I could run out and fly a kite right now !!! Thanks for stopping by.....I'm headin to the lake tomorrow( if these thunderstorms leave the area) so I hope y'all have a great week!!!
