Good morning Y'all.....I have had sooo many cards to make lately and this was the last of them....for a minute , anyway! Dan was invited to a wedding this weekend and I made a card for him to take to the reception. ( My name was not included on the invitation...how tacky is that ?!? I started to add big ole googly eyes to the faces !) Anyway, I used the Love Struck cart for the heart shaped image and Home Decor for the word...forever. Love Struck doesn't have a shadow feature so I tinkered with the sizes and I hope the shadow looks ok. I added lots of pearls, did some embossing and sanding and called this one done. Good morning Y'all.....Happy Friday!! Dan and I have really enjoyed watching all the beautiful lil hummers that have taken over our yard in the last few weeks. I guess they are fueling up for the big flight to Central America, because Dan has had to make food and fill the feeders several times a week. Those lil buggers are SO territorial and we both get a big kick out of watching them hoovering and dueling over the feeders.We have about a dozen pink crepe myrtle trees and they perch in them all during the day. Hence, the inspiration for this card. I used Home Accents for the hummingbirds and Home Decor for the branch. I used stickles on the flowers and then sprayed the entire card with Smooch Spritz and boy did that make a big difference ! I added the pearls and there you have it, my ode to the precious Hummingbird! Thanks for stopping by ad I hope y'all have a great weekend !!!
Hi Y'all.....I chatted with my friend Sandi online this morning and she all but forced me make a card for the Jitterbug challenge. So this is my take. I used lots of carts for this one. Everyday Paper Dolls for the kite, Doodlecharms for the bows, cause I didn't like the flimsy ones that were part of the kite cut. I used Stretch Your Imagination for the border,Home Decor( I think) for the cloud and Wild Card for the sentiment...wheeeeh. Lots of layering and popping, did a little inking and doodlin, added the buttons and there you have it.A thunderstorm is brewing as I type and the wind is gusting, so I imagine I could run out and fly a kite right now !!! This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
