~~ John Allen's 35th Birthday Card ~~~

My child is making an old woman of me !!! My baby will be 35 in a few weeks and I had found these number charms months ago and knew I would use them on a card for that's where the inspiration began, at the clearance counter at Michael's ! Of course, I used the Art Philosophy cart for his card!! The oval mat, present and pennants were all cut from the AP cart. I used Gypsy Wanderings for the musical notes.I am really loving this cart and this type of card...I get to show case this beautiful Graphic 45 paper!! I also used the same technique as on the other card I made earlier, for the bow. You can find the video here. I am lovin these bows too!!! Lots and lots of inking on this card, lots of layering and popping. I added some brads and some pretty craft thread, given to me by Tatiana...thanks T, I just died it with Ranger Ink to change the shade a bit. The sentiment is a stamp from the CTMH/AP Bundle. If any of y'all NEED ( hahaha ) to order this bundle, I can hook you right up!! Thanks for all the sweet comments y'all always leave....thanks for taking a peek!!!

Your cards are amazing. I always love to see what you've created. I hope you sell some of your cards, because they are so wonderful. I enjoy your blog very very much.

Beautiful card joy! John Allen is going to love it! Love the Graphic 45 paper!

Another fabulous card, Joy!

Oh My Goodness Joy! This is just wonderfully beautiful!!!! That Graphic 45 paper is just perfect for your cuts. I just love it! Bet John Allen does, too!!! Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!!!!! :)

Cricut Couple

This is just STUNNING! I was at the LSS yesterday and left this paper pack sitting there. I am gonna have to go back in the morning and pick it up. Stunning!!!

Oh, Joy, this is a masterpiece!

Wow! The inside is as gorgeous as the outside. I wish John Allen had 4 birthdays a year. ;) I love that paper bow. Thanks for posting a link to the video. You know I will be checking that out. Those charms you added are super cute...and I love the vintage looking paper. You do find the best paper packs. You and I could compete for messiest crafter...I have that gorgeous drafting table that hubby got and I can only use an 8 by 8 corner of it. The entire tabletop is covered. I keep meaning to clear it off, but it might mess up my limited mojo. I made the mistake of getting up to watch HSN's craft day. I have been good, only one punch set so far, but it's been hard. I love the look and feel of this card. Your work has an intangible quality to it that makes it something special. You go, girl!

What a great card. You really have that God given talent. You go girl.!!!

My goodness Joy...Hallmark doesn't have anything on you...this card is a true work of art. I love the way you finished off the inside. The colors and papers are stunning and the paper bow is awesome...I love everything about this masterpiece. I know what you mean about our kids making us old, my baby turned 37 in July...where does the time go?

Amazing card. I love it!

Have a wonderful day,

Good things come in small packages...gotta love Michael's discount bins! This is one over-the-top card, Joy! The papers, cuts and inking are just a fabulous team. I'll have to check out that tutorial for the bow. LOVE IT!

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
