Ladybugs on Parade

Good morning y'all !!!I made this card for my X husbands Aunt, to let her know I was thinking about her. Her grandson was hiking in the Cascades National Park before he began a new job, back in June and was lost for several days.Search parties began looking for him,but his strong faith in God and his constant praying, allowed him to walk out of the park on his own! I was scanning thru Dawns tutorials and found this adorable lil lady bug and had to make one!! I added my twist to it. The large ladybug was cut using my nesties scalloped circles, cut 3 times, the head was made using a 1" punch and I used a hole punch for the antenae(sp) . I used a polka dot stamp, to stamp the black dots on the red paper. I used WIMG for the other ladybugs, cut at 1"....2 times for the black body and 2 times on the shift function.Fiskars punch for the green gingham border, did some inking and poppin.Im going to type a lil note and add it later. TFL!!!!!!!!

Hey Lady! Welcome to Blog Land! I definitely blog hop more often than I'm on the mb these days, but I did see this card. How ADORABLE! Nice putting a face to the name and I see we're about the same vintage. LOL (I'm a little bit older but don't tell anyone.) Great start! See you soon! Hugs, D

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
