Get Well Soon !

Hi Y'all, I hope you had a great start to your week!I made this card for our across the street neighbor. He had a stroke last week and came home yesterday, so I thought I would make him a card to send over, along with supper for them tomorrow night.Dan and I don't really know them well, just the college age son, Michael and we know, thru him, that his dad likes to hunt. I used Black Magic paper for the background and embossed it and I'm a lil disappointed that the green doesn't show up as well as I thought it would. I wasnt going to have the cabin, but after I cut the trees and saw the swirls, I had to put a cabin there. So I placed the cabin under the swirls so it looks like smoke flowing from a chimney!I cant remember the sizes that I made on any of the images ! Gettin old, ain't for sissies !!! I DO know that I used CO for all the cuts and they were all cut 2 times, inked and popped. Thanks so much for looking and have a great week !!!

Joy this is awesome, love the black magic paper. I'm sure your neighbour will really appreciate it along with the supper.

This card just popped off your blog when I came to visit. It's awesome. What an honor to receive this card.

The cabin was just a perfect touch to the whole thing. I would never have thought to do the outdoorsy thing with a get well card. Great thinking outside the box!

Welcome to My World

This sight is dedicated to the art of card making....of which I am addicted ! I began making cards a few months before Dan was deployed to Iraq.I wanted to make sure he had a new card to open every day, so I used BlueMountian.Co and created him 2 months worth of cards !About a year ago I saw that famous infomercial for a little bug called a Cricut.Well, after watching it numerous times, I HAD to have it...and I ordered it!!!Then I found the Cricut Message Board and I hit pay dirt!!! I was, and still am so inspired by some of the talented women on that board!I have to give them credit for making me the card maker that I am today!!!
Thank you ladies, from the bottom of my heart!
I hope you enjoy looking at my cards, as much as I enjoy making them!!!
